What Crime Scene Cleaners do in Frisco Texas

Day 1 started off with us all having coffee at the local shop located at 340 W 4th.  The people were friendly and shared with us some stories about the worse jobs they had to help clean.  By worse they mean the most overwhelming as far as the amount of blood present.  The story involved a family that had a struggle the the Frisco Police Department labeled a murder suicide.  Now for those of you who have never heard the term "murder suicide" before, we hadn't either.  What it means as George explained to us is that the husband had for unknown reasons murdered his wife and then out of grief or premeditated, he then turned the gun on himself and killed himself.  Because this happened in two room, he had shot his wife from a distance.  She died in the kitchen and he died in the living room.  This caused two rooms to have blood in them.  The blood is considered by crime scene cleanup companies and the CDC to be a biohazard and has to be cleaned up in a professional manner.  This means they will go into the property and clean the blood soaked materials and remove some items, then they will sanitize the property against harmful pathogens.

Day 2 we have a job to go to.  It is a crime scene, but just a natural death.  It appears that a person was discovered dead at a home in Frisco but had been undiscovered for a number of days.  When we get to the home the odor is immense.  It appears that the room has a large amount of decomposed body tissue and blood to be cleaned from it.  This was not what I would of imagined a death scene to look like, and nor was it a smell I will ever forget.  The cleaning began with all the trauma cleaners from the company putting on hazmat gear.  This took most of the day to clean and they certainly make sure that nobody is in or out of the room without the proper clothing.

Day 3 is our final day in Frisco for this article.  We were already aware we had a real life crime scene cleanup in Frisco Texas scheduled for this day.  The home had been already taped off by the Frisco Police Department.  The crime scene had been sealed due to a ongoing investigation, however the crime scene cleaners were just now notified that the scene was released to the family and could be cleaned.  In the home was a area where a person had been shot, no death but it caused a large amount of blood spill.  Throughout the room was fingerprint dust all of which had to be cleaned.  As a reporter I was very impressed with how kind the crime scene cleanup company was to the family in every way.  They do not really get involved in what happened and stay focus on helping a family get the blood and fingerprint dust removed from the home and to return in to a safe condition.  They are very careful with the homeowners belongings and try to help them in any way keep things that are important to them.
